The Qin & Sun Family Foundation is a private nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through education, art, and community action.

Our journey began in 2005 when Sun started supporting children in Yunnan Province, one of China’s most underserved regions. As she learned about their daily struggles, her commitment grew—not just for their futures, but for her own purpose. Simple acts, like exchanging heartfelt letters with the students, revealed their boundless curiosity and joy. That spark—the magic of giving—inspired us to do more.

Today, we:

• Sponsor education for rural students (100+ children since 2005, from 6th grade through high school).

• Teach English to Myanmar refugee children in Mae Sot, Thailand, and Yunnan through the Peach Foundation Summer Camp (since 2016).

• Fund teachers in Thai refugee camps and support local initiatives like SHS Music Boost, SHS PTSO, and FIRST® LEGO® League Team #52914 (since 2019).

Sun, a former hardware engineer (20+ years) turned full-time artist and mother, infuses her passion into every brushstroke. The oil paintings on this site are hers—a visual invitation to reflect, hope, and embrace life’s blessings.
